Kentucky Connections

Supposedly, Frankfort resident Dick Brown, was in the Marriott when the first plane hit the North Tower, on Sept 11th.
Perhaps you've seen Dick on local TV in Kentucky.
I think he was reporter for one of the Louisville TV stations (WAVE-TV channel 3?), and perhaps Lexington,
and perhaps was with KET for a while.

Another Frankfort connection, Jacoby-Harrod.

Morehead, Kentucky to Ottawa, Canada connection?

On ABC News, Fri evening, Sept 14th, at about 7:52pm Eastern, they showed a clip of a memorial service at Ottawa, Canada.   Near the end, they showed a woman holding a photo of a Navy man, and I believe it was a photo of Ed Earhart, of Salt Lick (Morehead), Ky, who was assigned to the Pentagon as an Aerographer's Mate First Class.

I sent an email to WTVQ, the ABC affiliate in Lexington, asking if they could followup on this, to see what connection Ottawa might have to Morehead.
No reply yet, but if I find out , I'll post it here, on this web page.

Lexington Herald Stories, 15-Sep-2001.

A Louisville connection.

Photos by a NYC resident, Labor Day.

At the web site below are incredible photos taken inside the WTC right before the collapse.
People in stairwells with firemen going up, and in the foyer looking outside with the WTC plaza already littered with falling debris.
I wonder how many of the people you see here are alive today.

Unfortunately, these photos are gone now, but you can see 4 of them here.

Videos at the San Francisco Chronicle.
Be sure to watch the one taken by Lucia Davis as she escapes the WTC collapse inside a juice bar.
